Meet the team

After a short break I have returned to work at Malmesbury working two sessions a week.

Clinical Interests
– General and Elderly

I grew up in Devon and trained in Yorkshire. I began my medical career by specialising in anaesthetics and intensive care in Norfolk, but I began to miss talking to my patients and so moved to Bath to start and complete my GP training. Outside of work I am an avid equestrian and  I’m married to a Royal Marine. We have two sons which keep us busy and we enjoy being outside whatever the weather.

I studied at Bristol University and qualified in 2009. Initially, I started my training in Emergency Medicine, then changed to GP and completed my training in 2018. I worked in a South Gloucestershire practice until I moved to Malmesbury in November 2023. I have an interest in respiratory medicine, mental health and lifestyle medicine. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family.

Duty doctor for acute on the day issues

Following my general nurse training at Cheltenham General Hospital I worked as a Staff Nurse on the Orthopaedic ward and then a period at Tetbury, before becoming The Outpatients Sister at Malmesbury Hospital. This also included sessions in the MIU. My Current role as Practice Nurse is both varied and challenging and I have a particular interest in minor illnesses and injuries. My hobbies are reading, walking and when weather permits riding my bike.

I grew up in Ireland and trained to be a Nurse in Berkshire , I qualified in 1994. I also have a degree in Midwifery. Having been Nursing over 30 years I have worked in Acute Medicine, Intensive Care, as a Midwife, a Practice Nurse and a School Nurse. I came to Malmesbury in 2011 as a Practice Nurse. 

My special interests are Travel Medicine, Women and Child Health and Asthma.

Out of work I love to travel and going to the theatre.

I live locally with my Husband and have 2 grown up children.
