Arrange a GP home visit

If you require a home visit for yourself or somebody you care for please call the surgery on 01666 825825 and select option ‘1’. Please call before 10am. Your visit request will be triaged and allocated to one of our Specialist Practitioners, or a GP.

We cannot guarantee at time of booking what time or day the visit will be. Urgent requests will be prioritised. If you call after 10am it is likely you will receive a telephone call first and a clinician will triage your request to check for urgency.

Please note, Home Visits are reserved for patients who are clinically considered to be housebound, or those who are absolutely too sick to attend the surgery.

Specialist Practitioner* (SP) We have a fully trained Paramedic /Specialist Practitioner in our team . One of their main roles is to undertake home visits where traditionally the doctors would have gone. The SP is able to assess and treat the majority of home visits equally if not better than a GP . They also have the benefit of technical equipment not normally carried by a GP.

If you require urgent assistance for a fall where the patient cannot get up, or symptoms such as crushing chest pain, stroke symptoms, difficulty breathing, choking, severe bleeding, loss of consciousness, or a Mental Health crisis please call 999.
